Why have new radiators?

When water runs through the central heating system it reacts with the metal inside the pipework and radiators which can cause small flakes to break off into the water. These tend to settle in the bottom of radiators causing a sludge like substance causing commons side effects such as cold patches or lukewarm radiators and generally higher heating bills.
